Let’s start from the beginning!

Our journey started back in late 2018 when I took my first steps into traditional shaving. I bought several DE razors back then, but none of them felt entirely satisfying to my preferences. My background as a Mechanical Design Engineer, with lots of experience in CNC precision machining, coupled with my enthusiasm for traditional shaving, gave me the first “signal” of the possibility of manufacturing my own safety razor design..

Why LAMBDA?

Lambda (/ˈlæmdə/; uppercase Λ, lowercase λ; Greek: λάμ(β)δα, lám(b)da) is the eleventh letter of the Greek alphabet. We originally selected this letter as the brand name for our razors because it’s the first letter of the word “lepis” which is the Greek word for “blade”.

 But there was more behind it. My father passed away in April of 2021, his name was “Leonidas” (the name of the legendary King of Spartans), the first letter of which is “Lambda”. Several months later, i found out that the brand name of our razors is also the first letter of my beloved father’s name. This sounds sentimental but these razors will always remind me my father!
